What is the major theme of this novel?
Why is this theme important to a teenager living in 2007?
The book "Brave New World" was a tough book for me. I barely understood the story. I think the main them of this novel is only happiness can't make people happy. In our lifetime, there are a lot of happiness and sadness that we experience through. We feel really good if while we experiece happiness. In the other hand, we feel bad while experiencing sadness or madness. We always expect to have on happiness in our life, but not sadness. We never want to have sadness. Do you think the life would be easy if there is only happiness? I don't think so. I think sadness make the happiness. If there is no sadness, there should be no happiness. If we are alway happy, it would be a boring life. We would feel no more importance of happiness.
I think this is very important to teenagers. It's important especially for those who are in adolescene when they have a lot of resistance. Teenagers will grow up and be the citizens of the world. While growing, there would be a lot of hard times. They should think that this slump of life is also important. Not only happiness is important, but sadness is also very important.
