Animal Farm 1

* what is the major theme of this novel? why is this theme important to a teenager living in 2007?

There are a lot of themes in this book. I found very many when I read it which took me very long time. But I will mention only few of the most major theme of this novel. First theme is that leader of any group shouldn't be tempted by comfort. In this book, pig ruled over the society of animal. They whipped the animal and killed them. Further on, they enjoyed things that they told other animals not to do. I also think this novel strongly criticism communism. Napoleon, who was the president of the animal, even though they had vote system, I think he used the dictatorial government. He’s only the one who has power and do whatever he wants and change the rules by his own will. This novel shows us that communism system and dictatorship system is wrong. Animal farm families would have more peace if they had democratic system. There would not be any killing and whipping then. I think these themes are very important to more to adults. Especially governments who rule the country because this book is about tragedy they get from bad systems. The things that are important to teenagers in this novel is that when they grow up, in any society, a leader should care about member’s feeling and opinions. If the leader does whatever he/she wants, that person is going to mass up the society.
